Novens: a new made-in-France Electric vehicle charging station

Developping a new generation of electric vehicle chaeging stations, designed and manufactured in France: this is the ambition behind the E-borne project. Led by five Normandy-based organizations with complementary expertise, the project has resulted in the development of Novens.

A charging station designed and developed in Normandy

As E-mobility continues to grow, the need for charging infrasructure is evolving rapidly. The E-borne project was born from the ambition to offer high-performance, smart and competitive charging solution, while drawing on local skills and expertise.

Named Novens, the charging station developed as part of the project brings this ambition to life and reflects, a broader goal: to bring together locally the expertise equired from design through to industrialization, to develop a made-in-France charging solution

The project has brought together a range of Normandy-based expertise around a single solution and explored the development of a regional value chain.

Complementary expertise supporting the project

To develop Novens, five Normandy-based organizations combined their expertise in research electronic design, mechanics and industrialization.

Alongside Selha Group, the consortium brought together Gonogo Concept, Nordman Ingénierie, AET France and IRSEEM/ESIGELEC

A project supported by the Normandy Region and the European Union

The E-borne project received support from the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER) as part of the 2021–2027 European programme.

This funding supported the partners in their research, design and development work, with the aim of fostering innovation and strengthening the competitiveness of the regional industrial ecosystem.
