Blood’Up: the first two devices
are ready!
After more than six years of research, development and industrialization, a new milestone has been reached in the collaboration between Arterya and Selha Group: the first two Blood’Up medical devices are now ready.
Innovative technology to facilitate arterial puncture
Developed by Caen-based start-up Arterya, Blood’Up is a medical device designed to help healthcare professionals accurately locate an artery and facilitate arterial blood sampling.
The device uses several sensors to analyze different characteristics of the blood flowing through the artery, including sound, flow direction and temperature. This data is then analyzed and cross-referenced to determine the location and depth of the artery.
A laser projection system then indicates the position of the artery directly on the patient’s wrist, guiding the healthcare professional during the puncture.
From design to industrialization
Since the early stages of the project, Selha Group has supported Arterya in the design, development and industrialization of Blood’Up through its industrial accelerator, the Tech-Up Corner. Our teams have brought their expertise alongside the start-up at every stage, from product definition to the production of the first devices.
This collaboration is part of the AEGIS collaborative project, carried out with Arterya and IRSEEM / ESIGELEC, with the support of the Normandy Region and the French government as part of the France 2030 investment plan.
The production of these first two devices marks a concrete milestone in the work carried out alongside Arterya since the early stages of the project. A collaboration combining medical innovation, electronics expertise and industrial know-how.
